The Center for Family Life at Gray Lodge and Alison Gill Lodge are specially designated to treat girls and women who have suffered from abuse, neglect or violence, and who may be experiencing emotional, behavioral, psychological and/or learning problems.

Mission: The Shelter for Women helps young Connecticut Woman who have experienced abuse and neglect make a sustainable progress toward recovery and independence by providing clinical, residential and educational support in a safe, caring environment.

The Shelter for Women, founded in 1889, is a non-profit organization committed to providing residential treatment and educational services for at-risk girls and young women, ages 13 to 21.  To achieve its mission, the Shelter offers girls a safe, home-like community setting within the Manchester girls group home; offering individual and family therapy, and connections with many community services.

The Village for Families & Children, Inc., has been serving children and families in the greater Harford region since 1809.  For more than 200 years the Village is a preeminent not-for-profit mental health/human services agency in the State of Connecticut.  The agency’s community-based services are comprised of three core programs: Placement and Permanency (adoption, foster care and family preservation), Behavioral Health Treatment, and Family and Community Support Programs and Services
